Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced a new range of F12 Series ultrasonic sensors. Fitted with automatic synchronization capability, up to 10 sensors can operate in close proximity without any potential for interfering cross talk.
Programmed via a push-button system that offers user-selectable beam widths, the new sensors provide reliable detection over a wide or narrow area. Providing an 800mm sensing range, with a 50mm deadband, the sensors are fi tted with a rotating M12 quick disconnector for easy connectivity, leading to reduced installation costs. LEDs provide status indication, while push-pull, 4-20mA, 0-10V outputs are available.
F12 sensors are mounted in IP65-rated housings and measure 41.5mm x 49mm x 15mm, a size designed to ease fitting of the equipment in smaller spaces. Further, the reduced size also allows sensing through narrow gaps and in harsh applications, such as on automotive conveyors.
