AMS Automotive Evolution Europe on December 7 in Munich will demonstrate how manufacturers like BMW, Audi, Polestar, ZF and many more are adapting strategic planning and shopfloor operations to keep up with electrification’s fast changes.

The ramp up of electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery production is forcing automotive manufacturers in Europe to change processes, technology and partners at a faster pace than the industry has seen for decades, especially as manufacturers roll out gigafactories and EV platforms to meet electrification targets. Meanwhile, ongoing disruption in supply and labour require manufacturers to quickly adjust and prioritise production sequences. .

This speed requires greater levels of flexibility across automotive plants, whether in adapting to new materials and body structures, reducing errors and waste in paintshop, redesigning trim and assembly for product and powertrain variation and making use of digital twins and data analytics. It all must be achieved without compromises in quality, and with a growing focus on sustainability.

The AMS Automotive Evolution Europe conference brings together leading EV and battery manufacturing experts from established and startup OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, battery makers, equipment and software providers from across the region. They will debate how to ensure European automotive manufacturing meets its electrification and climate goals and remain globally competitive, from strategic manufacturing planning and digital simulation, to implementing new tools, connectivity and automation to the shopfloor.

AMS Automotive Evolution Europe is an event for leading strategic production decision makers, plant directors, manufacturing engineers, technology specialists and technical leaders through all stages of automotive manufacturing.

The conference will take place at the SZ Tower in Munich, the headquarters for the world-renowned Süddeutche Zeitung, one of Germany’s leading national newspapers, and will feature plenty of networking during the day and an evening reception in the Exhibition Hall.
