At METAV 2012, Heller showed its 5-axis machining centre model FT 4000, with swivel-head unit and Heidenhain control iTNC530, to demonstrate how to machine a wide range of parts and materials at highest fl exibility and productivity in continuous operation. The FT 4000 could be considered a classic workshop machine with manual table loading. However, thanks to the design and accessibility of its work area – 630mm in the X and Y axis and 830mm in the Z axis – it is suited for a wide range of parts from different materials and weights up to 1400kg. The Power Cutting Universal PCU 63 swivel head with 44kW and 242 Nm is the most powerful 5-axis spindle with HSK 63 currently available on the market and an excellent choice for highly productive 5-axis heavy-duty cutting applications. www.heller.co.uk
