Hexagon Metrology says it has developed its laser scanner technology for portable measuring arms. The integrated laser scanner for the ROMER Absolute Arm is now faster, offering an acquisition speed of up to 50,000 points per second, claims the company. Along with this development, the company is also launching a wireless scanning option, which allows any arm with integrated scanner to be operated completely wirelessly, and at the same data transmission speed as with a traditional cable. The Wireless Scanning Pack is compatible with all new and existing ROMER Absolute Arms with integrated laser scanner, and also includes a dual ‘hot swappable’ battery system.
