Konecranes has introduced two speed control options, Extended Speed Range and Adaptive Speed Range for overhead lifting equipment motors for the automotive industry. The company says these are cost-effective options to achieve high average hoist speeds without increasing motor size. Offering a range of lifting products for the automotive industry, the company says its products are engineered to meet any specialised needs and supported by an experienced service team. Extended Speed Range has been developed for high duty applications where near capacity loads are routinely lifted, to ensure safety and productivity in automotive facilities. It uses inverter technology to allow increased hoist speed for light loads. Adaptive Speed Range automatically varies the speed of the hoist according to the load. For full capacity loads, it forces a slower, more deliberate speed to enhance safe lifting.
