Engineering centre, Premier GroupUK – The £600,000 new building is part of a £3m investment by the Midlands-based company in staff, equipment and facilities over the past four years. The centre will enhance Premier’s capabilities in the production of metal components for cars, prototypes and niche vehicles.

Over the past four years, Premier has grown its staff by 30% and now employs 164 people, including 22 apprentices. The privately-owned company is already preparing to welcome its next intake of trainees this September. Over the same period, sales have grown by 170% to just under £15m.

Premier has a client list including Bentley, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Ford and Aston Martin; the company also makes the aluminium bodies for the Morgan 3 wheeler car.
