Masahiro MoroUS – Replacing Jim O’Sullivan, who is retiring, Masahiro Moro becomes president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). Moro is currently managing executive officer at Mazda Motor Corporation; he takes up his new role with immediate effect.

Moro will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of MNAO’s business in the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, including sales, marketing, parts and services, logistics, communications, customer support and regional operations. As managing executive officer at Mazda Motor, he will oversee Global Marketing Strategy.

Moro was previously responsible for Global Sales, Marketing and Customer innovation, based at the OEM’s headquarters in Hiroshima, Japan. He has also served as director of Mazda Australia; vice-president of Marketing at Mazda Motor Europe; vice-president of Product Marketing; and general manager of the Global Marketing Division. Moro joined the OEM in 1983.

O’Sullivan became president and CEO of MNAO in 2003, also holding the role of managing executive officer of Mazda Motor. His 13 years with MNAO were part of a four-decade career in the automotive industry.
