Belgium – Following a meeting of the board of directors, Philippe Varin has been elected president of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association. He will lead the ACEA until the end of his mandate as CEO of PSA Peugeot Citroen, when the board will announce his successor.
Varin takes over from Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat and chairman and CEO of Chrysler Group, who was elected for 2012 and re-elected for 2013.
