High-power solid-state lasers underwent significant technological changes during recent years with higher available laser powers, better beam quality, improved electrical efficiency and reductions in price, leading to a new, highly-productive welding technique called “Laser Remote Welding”.

The webinar presented an overview of the latest trends in laser remote welding. New and innovative seam finding and calibration systems and their usage in application fields will be shown.

The usage of “Laser Remote Welding” in applications such as body shop and battery production is explained. Furthermore, latest applications and business case studies are covered. The benefits in terms of increased productivity, decreased cost-per-part and reduced floor space are illustrated.
