The VLC 200 H vertical hobber is the first Koepfer machine based on the new modular standards of EMAG.
In the transmissions industry, it allows for the individual processes used in the soft machining of a gear – from turning of the raw-part to hobbing and finally deburring – to be combined in one unit, says the company.
The machine enables gears of a maximal diameter of 200mm and module four to be dry-milled with shortened cycle times,with reduced idle times.
Integrated into a manufacturing system, it offers the option for directional component flow, recirculating automation or the ‘chaku-chaku’ principle, says EMAG.
