Mazda6Japan – Last month, the OEM recorded a 6.2% rise in production year-on-year, with Mazda6 output amounting to 5,539 units (+28.3%). Mazda3 output increased by 25.1% to 3,966 vehicles. Also overseas, the company produced 4,114 units of its CX-5 model.

Meanwhile, domestic production decreased by 1.5% due to lower output of both passenger and commercial vehicles (CVs), with the Mazda6 (Atenza) dropping by 22.7% to 10,582 units. CX-5 output was up by 25.8% to 26,076 units, while the Mazda3 (Axela) rose by 6.6% to 25,560 units.

Total global production for February was 102,086 units, a marginal decrease on the same period last year. Output between January and February came to 209,171 units, a 3.3% increase year-on-year.
