Cells with engineerUK – The company says it has invested in six high-specification engine test cells at its new Milton Keynes facility. Four of the new test cells are now fully operational, with the final two cells being commissioned in August; these will be equipped with both high- and low-speed 550kW A/C transient dynamometers, allowing engine and full driveline testing.

The design of these two test cells incorporates removable access panels, which permits cross-linking of dynamometers between cells to deliver twin-axle driveline testing. They are also supported by two 150kW, 1,000V battery simulators, enabling clients to test hybrid and EV drivelines with one or two driven axles.
