Brazil – The chemical company received the ‘Supplier of the Year 2013 – Excellence in General Purchasing’ award for providing its waterborne coatings for use on Hyundai’s HB20 model that is manufactured in Piracicaba.
The award involves an assessment of criteria such as cost management, quality and delivery. In fact, BASF has worked in close collaboration with Hyundai from the start of the paint process installation at Piracicaba, where the paint line has been shortened by a single step to give material, time and energy savings.
Fabian Garcia, BASF key account manager for Automotive OEM Coatings in Brazil, said the award demonstrates “the great commitment of our international team to deliver sustainable solutions”.
