Toshiyuki Shimabara, HondaUS – The appointments are taking place at American Honda Motor (AHM), Honda of America Manufacturing (HAM) and other Honda companies. They will be effective from April 1, 2017.

AHM’s Jeff Conrad, senior vice-president and general manager of the Honda Automobile Division, will additionally take on responsibility for Acura and Core Support at Automobile Sales and Marketing. Keita Muramatsu, currently president of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, will become executive vice-president of the Motorcycle Division. Other appointments are also being made at AHM.

HAM will gain a new president, Toshiyuki Shimabara, whose existing roles are: operating officer, executive in charge of Motorcycle Production, Motorcycle Operations; general manager, Kumamoto Factory; executive in charge of Power Product Production, Power Product Operations, Honda Motor (HMC). The current president, Tomomi Kosaka, will be assigned to a special project that Honda will announce shortly.

Honda Precision Parts of Georgia will be led by Shoichi Nakao as president; Nakao is currently plant manager at the Moka Drivetrain Plant, HMC. His predecessor, Masahiko Kayama, will transfer to Aikitec in Japan.

The current president of Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America, Tadayuki Oke, will lead Powertrain at Honda North America. His replacement, Katsumi Endo, will move from his role as vice-president of Honda de Mexico.
