The 966 is an electrically-heated, inert atmosphere oven that Grieve says is suitable for stress relief of machined steel. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 24” W x 36” D x 24” H. It features 18KW Incoloy-sheathed tubular elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 1000 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal front-to-rear airflow to the workload.
Inert atmosphere construction on this oven includes pressure gauge, internal high-temperature gasket, all-welded construction in the doorway throat, air jacket on inner oven for cooling, says the company. Controls on No. 966 include a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and recirculating blower airflow safety switch.
