GM WentzvilleUS – An additional 750 personnel will be required at the assembly facility in Missouri to build the new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pick-ups plus the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans.

The personnel for the third shift are in addition to the 1,315 that GM announced with the launch of the new pick-ups and the introduction of a third stamping press – investments totalling $513m.

Wentzville Assembly currently employs 2,600 hourly and salaried workers for its two shifts. The third shift will begin in early 2015.
