GM ArlingtonUS – The company’s Arlington plant, which was founded in 1954, switched from car to truck assembly in 1997 and is now the only facility which builds the full-size Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.

The SUVs currently manufactured are all new, redesigned for the 2015 model year.

Since its establishment, Arlington has produced a total of 9,727,292 vehicles. The facility has grown from 1.25m sq. ft to 4.375m sq. ft, while the workforce has increased from 1,850 to 4,591. From having no robots in 1954, Arlington now uses 1,010.
