Russia – Head of the Light Commercial Vehicles division, Vadim Sorokin has been made president and CEO of GAZ Group. While taking responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Group, he will remain in charge of the LCV part of the business. Sorokin has worked for GAZ since 2008.
The GAZ Group has also created the positions of chief operating officer and director for business and corporate development. As COO, Günther Heiden will oversee the functional management of production units. Heiden most recently worked for automotive component supplier SPM. Albrecht Köhler is set to join GAZ as director from his current position as COO with Knorr Bremse Systems for Rail Vehicles.
