David FilipeUS/China – David Filipe will take the role of vice-president, Powertrain Engineering, while Jason Luo will become president and CEO of Ford China, responsible for all business in Greater China, including Lincoln, Changan Ford, commercial vehicle investment in Jiangling Motors, imports and operations in Taiwan. The appointments will be effective from September 1.

Filipe will replace Bob Fascetti, who will retire on October 1 after nearly 30 years in Powertrain and Product Development, working to improve the fuel economy and performance of Ford vehicles around the world.

Serving Ford for the past 25 years, Filipe has held various positions within Product Development and several leadership roles. Most recently, he was vehicle line director, North America trucks, large SUVs and commercial vehicles, which included responsibility for the launch of the 2017 Super Duty pick-up, the 2018 Ford F-150 and the 2018 Expedition. Filipe will report to Hau Thai-Tang, executive vice-president, Product Development and Purchasing.

Luo is moving to Ford from Key Safety Systems, which he has served for ten years as global president and CEO. He will be based in Shanghai and will report to Peter Fleet, Ford group vice-president and president, Ford Asia-Pacific.
