Canadá - O fabricante de veículo anunciou que a sua linha de montagem é a primeiro no Canadá a conseguir o ISO 50001: 2011 padrão de organização internacional de certificação TÜV.
A fábrica de montagem de Brampton (BAP) implementou medidas de gestão de energia, incluindo controle de iluminação que economiza $110.000 por ano em custos anuais de energia elétrica, além de aquecimento automatizado, ventilação e agendamento que reduz o excesso de escape negativo em 1,2 m cu. por minuto, bem como a redução de custos de eletricidade e gás natural, por $2milhões por ano.
Na obtenção da certificação ISO 50001, BAP, que já tinha recebido ISO 14001 para gestão ambiental, tem servido como a fábrica-piloto entre as instalações de montagem na América do Norte da Chrysler, os outros locais deverão ser certificados até ao final do ano.
