Lectra says its new FocusQuantum airbag cutting solution combines high-performance laser cutters for one-piece woven (OPW) and flat airbags, as well as a purpose-built software suite and a full range of value-added professional services.
The company claims the integrated software suite eliminates errors throughout the processes, from design to cutting. Following the import of design software data the system will verify geometry dimensions and scale factor before any airbag material is cut. Potential defects – even those invisible to the naked eye – are eliminated during the data analysis phase, ensuring the integrity of each individual airbag, says Lectra.
