US – With Al Iacobelli retiring from the company, Glenn Shagena will assume the role of head of Employee Relations for North America with immediate effect. Shagena was most recently head of FCA Mexico Human Resources.
Shagena joined the company in 1985, working in the Labor Relations department at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, Michigan. He moved up through the ranks in Employee Relations and Human Resources, covering the Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
Prior to his role in Mexico, Shagena was Human Resources director, Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM). He was responsible for the roll-out of WCM at all of the vehicle-maker’s manufacturing operations and played a key part in negotiations teams.
