The KOMET Group is now adding 40 and 50mm versions of its hi.aeQ arbor facing-milling cutter, to go alongside the current range of diameters. The basic body of the milling cutter is designed according to DIN 8030 and equipped with tangentially screwed Q80 indexable inserts. These are also available in sizes Q80-20 in different versions to suit the new smaller diameters.
The PVD-TiAlN coatings BK2715 and BK2730 are available in different grades of toughness, as well as the CVD-TiN-TiCN+Al2O3 coating BK6115. The company claims it is possible to react to a variety of different areas of application and requirements.
