Germany – The Siemens Drive Technologies Division and Kuka Roboter have announced a co-operation agreement to integrate Kuka robots and Siemens machine tool solutions (CNC) for loading machine tools. The announcement was made at machine tool trade fair EMO Hanover.

Russia – GAZ and MW (the wheels division of Italian Group CLN) have signed an MoU to establish a wheel disk manufacturing JV at Nizhny Novgorod. It will be the third JV for the production of automotive components at the site, joining the exhaust systems manufacturer Bosal- GAZ JV and pre-production activities within a framework of co-operation with Bulten, the fastener manufacturer.

Indonesia – Renault has partnered with Indomobil Sukses International in Indonesia to launch itself on the Indonesian market. Renault will introduce the Duster, which is locally assembled there and is the car-maker's leading model in 2013. The French manufacturer will also commercialise the Koleos SUV and the Mégane Renaultsport. Indomobil aims to build up a network of 45 showrooms by 2016.

The Netherlands – ZF has received orders for driveline and chassis technology plus steering systems for 405 city and intercity buses. The company says these latest contracts will push its market share to almost 50%. The vehicles will be used in Utrecht and Arnhem, plus South Holland and Friesland.

Germany/Brazil – Daimler Trucks has won an order from the Brazilian Ministry of Agrarian Development for 2,884 dump trucks. For Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Brazil is an important sales market that has already seen the two millionth Mercedes- Benz commercial vehicle made, at the São Bernardo do Campo plant this year.
