The four-year course prepares students for a career in the automotive industry and is tailored to suit the needs of BMW as an employer.

Students will spend the first year of their degree studying at Oxford Brookes in the UK and the second at OTH Regensburg, Technical University of Applied Sciences, in Germany. The third year will consist of six-month placements at BMW Regensburg and Mini Oxford. The final year will be spent at Oxford Brookes.

“Employers today are working far more closely with universities and colleges to ensure courses better reflect the skills and knowledge actually required in the workplace,” commented Bob Shankly, Human Resources director for BMW Group Manufacturing in the UK.

BMW and Oxford Brookes have already collaborated on other educational programmes, ranging from apprentice training on foundation degrees through to R&D activities.
