Foba 100-Watt fibre laser marking systemFoba claims its new 100-Watt fibre laser (Y.1000) allows for marking substrates that are usually difficult to mark with lower powered lasers. The company says the unit’s design allows for simple integration into existing production lines and is suitable for marking and engraving automobile components, offering long-term legibility throughout the entire product life cycle.

Four focal widths are available, allowing for adjustments to marking field dimensions as well as marking speeds and the company says the laser beam can be positioned in two angles, either 90° top down or 0° straight forward. The system is said to be compatible with various interfaces like Ethernet and RS-323 or, from quarter 2/2018, also Profibus, Profinet and TCP/IP (with software version MarkUS 2.12).
