USA – Nissan marked two major milestones with the first US-produced 2014 Rogue rolling off the line in Smyrna, as the facility’s ten millionth vehicle. Moving Rogue production to the US is part of the company’s strategy to build where it sells. By 2015, Nissan says it aims to have 85% of its products that are sold in the US produced in North America.
“For more than 30 years, the Smyrna plant has been building high-quality vehicles, and today’s milestone serves as further testament to the flexibility, efficiency and talent of our US workforce,” said Susan Brennan, Nissan vice-president of manufacturing in Smyrna.
