Detroit, MI. – In other GM news, the carmaker’s head of global powertrain, Jamie Hresko, has resigned. He is the latest in a series of executives to leave the company since Dan Akerson took over as CEO.

Hresko had been VP of global quality when he was selected to head the Powertrain division. He reported to Mary Barra, who in January this year was assigned to lead GM’s global product development team.

Other executives that have recently left GM include product chief Tom Stephens and Chris Preuss, formerly head of GM’s OnStar telematics unit.
