Italy – Kumho Crugen Premium KL33 tyres are now being delivered in sizes 215/60R17 100V XL and 225/55R18 98H to the OEM’s plant at Melfi, where the vehicle is being made. The Renegade joins the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) line-up already fitted with Kumho tyres: the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Fiat Freemont.
According to its maker, the Kumho Crugen Premium KL 33 has been specially developed for the growing SUV segment, offering “an impressive degree of comfort at speed, coupled with good handling characteristics and low levels of noise”. The company claims that balanced traction is “guaranteed in both wet and dry conditions”.
“Working in close co-operation with our client, FCA, we have adjusted the Crugen Premium KL33 to the specific needs of the new Jeep Renegade,” said Frank Gilsdorf, the engineer with responsibility for the contract at the Kumho European Technical Centre in Frankfurt, Germany. “This latest contract from FCA underlines the good level of co-operation that exists between our two companies and the consistently high quality of our tyres.”
