India – The next-generation petrol engine family will power future models in the passenger vehicle market; the first in the series is the Turbocharged Intercooled Multi-point Fuel Injected (MPFi) REVOTRON 1.2T.
REVOTRON 1.2T has been designed to be light weight and low friction while delivering high performance and fuel economy. Its HighBoost Turbo-Charger can generate 85PS, 5,000RPM and 140Nm, 1,750-3,500RPM.
Ranjit Yadav, president, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, said the launch of REVOTRON 1.2T represents “a strategic shift towards a more complete portfolio”.
The REVOTRON series, which will include 3 and 4-cylinder petrol engines, has been developed in collaboration with technology partners including Bosch, Honeywell, Mahle and INA, plus the engine consultant AVL.
