Japan – The OEM released its graduate recruitment plan for fiscal year ending (FYE) March 2019, showing that it will offer 220 engineering positions on home territory, plus 45 administrative roles. This is an increase on the number of new employees estimated for FYE March 2019 (205 and 40 respectively).

“We are looking for people who are never satisfied with the status quo, never give up on their dreams and goals and conduct themselves in good faith from the customer’s point of view,” commented Takeshi Fujiga, managing executive officer, Global Human Resources, Mazda.

In addition to the engineering and administrative recruits, Mazda will also take on 240 high-school graduates in manufacturing roles in FYE March 2018; the number for FYE March 2019 has yet to be decided. The vehicle-maker estimates that it will hire a total of 485 new employees in Japan in FYE March 2018.
