Mazda UjinaJapan – The OEM’s domestic output decreased by 9.7% year-on-year, with a drop in both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Overseas production in February increased by 21.3% due to higher demand in both segments.

In Japan, Mazda made 77,416 passenger vehicles (-9.6%) and 903 commercial vehicles (-16.3%), for a total output of 78,319 units. Overseas, the OEM turned out 48,664 passenger vehicles (+21.0%) and 3,672 commercial vehicles (+25.1%), bringing the total abroad to 52,336. Globally, the production amounted to 126,080 passenger cars (+0.2%) and 4,575 commercial vehicles (+13.9%), totalling 130,655 units (+0.6%).

At its domestic plants, Mazda manufactured the following: 19,985 CX-5s (-29.5%); 15,991 CX-3s (+34.1%); and 15,356 Mazda3s (-25.8%). Overseas, it made: 19,905 Mazda3s (+16.1%); 5,303 CX-4s; and 4,730 Mazda6s (+25.7%).
