Honda PingtungTaiwan – The milestone vehicle was a CR-V SUV, which rolled off the assembly line 13-and-a-half years after production began at the plant. Honda Pingtung reached a cumulative output of 200,000 units in May 2012.

Honda Taiwan was established in 2002. Production launches at the Pingtung plant were as follows: CR-V, January 2003; Accord, November 2003; Civic, April 2006; Fit, October 2008; City, June 2014. The factory reached its first 100,000 units in September 2007.

Honda Pingtung covers 65,000 sq.m on 188,000 sq.m and represents an investment of 2.1 billion Taiwanese dollars ($65.3m). The plant has 660 workers and the capacity to make 30,000 units per year.
