Honda KumamotoJapan – The OEM says it has now completed the removal of debris and a damage assessment at those facilities which were most affected by the earthquakes in April, including the assembly hall. Production of Honda’s main motorcycle models recommenced on a small scale on June 6.

Kumamoto suspended manufacturing on April 14 but resumed component supply for overseas plants on May 6. Honda says the assembly of motorcycles will be ramped up in stages in line with the condition of the facilities, moving towards complete recovery by mid-August.
