The iSeries of power sources for automated plasma cutting is part of ESAB’s integrated system of components that it claims deliver higher productivity and lower cutting costs.
Featuring its HeavyCut technology to improve cut quality and precision performance, ESAB says the iSeries cut quality enables parts to go directly from the cutting table to welding, painting or assembly without secondary operations. It also provides piercing capacity up to 50mm at 400A on all materials including stainless steel and aluminium.
The company claims the Water Mist Secondary (WMS) process, which incorporates nitrogen as the plasma gas and ordinary tap water for shielding, produces improved cut quality and a lower cost per cut on non-ferrous materials.
