Metallform says it produces workpiece holders and baskets for bulk parts from stainless steel rounds. These baskets have no enclosed surfaces, corners and edges, which the company says offers greater cleaning access to the loaded parts. Also the open design ensures removed contaminant is flushed from the basket quickly and reduces the accumulation of contamination in the basket. Metallform also notes that the easy accessibility of parts reduces the drying time required.
The company claims it has used CAD technology to ensure the optimum adjustment of workpiece holders to parts and minimising of contact points between the component and the workpiece holder.
