PRIMA INDUSTRIE is the leader in three-dimensional laser cutting
and welding applications for the automotive industry.
The Company, which exports more than two-thirds of its sales, is based in Turin,
Italy, and enjoys an excellent market coverage worldwide, thanks to the
PRIMA Group: PRIMA ELECTRONICS in Italy, PRIMA North America in the USA,
European branch offices and joint ventures in China and Japan.
Since 1979, PRIMA INDUSTRIE has pioneered the three-dimensional
cutting and welding of Body-in-White components, and the company's 2D
and 3D machines are landmarks in laser technology.
PRIMA INDUSTRIE's know-how
encompasses machine, laser and CNC - all conceived, designed and manufactured
within the PRIMA group. From prototyping to production, the
Company offers the widest experience in automotive laser applications.
PRIMA INDUSTRIE laser machines have been extensively used for automotive
applications for more than two decades. However, in the last few years, the accent
has shifted more towards mass production, stressing requirements in term of cycle time
reduction, reliability and maintenability. That's why the latest generation
of PRIMA machines, the RAPIDO EVOLUZIONE, features double speed
and acceleration, leading to a third more productivity.

Direct motors and
transducers on the focusing head give rise to unprecedented dynamics and accuracy.
The head breaks away in case of impact, for a total protection, and it is modular so
that it can be fitted with the most proper tools for the specific application, cutting
and/or welding. Today high production needs make automatic systems for workpiece loading/
unloading always more essential.
PRIMA INDUSTRIE's "Split Cabin concept" and high speed turntable are well
proven solutions to increase production rhythms and efficiency.
