Dedicated to laser processing
Permanova has delivered over 130 turnkey systems to automotive
manufacturing plants and general industry over the years. In addition the
company has delivered many laser process tools for welding, cutting, brazing, and
hybrid welding, among others. Permanova's main customers are car
manufacturers and their sub-suppliers. Reference end customers include Volvo
Cars, Ford, Karmann, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge, SAAB Automobile and DaimlerChrysler.

optical design, Permanova is able to fully optimise the process capability of the
tool, while not compromising the ability to handle the laser beam properly. The
company is delivering tools for welding, cutting, brazing and hybrid welding, as
well as special design solutions, sensors and calibration tools.

PERMANOVA CT06 Cutting Tool System
This new laser cutting tool meets the demands coming from the new fibre and
disk laser sources, and has a compact design. Besides building a slim, fast tool
with accurate autofocus control, the company has designed a powerful
operator-friendly HMI (Human- Machine-Interface). All the
features the user needs are there, easily accessed: self calibration, corner
compensation, Freeze Function, Soft TCP, Logging, Temperature Supervision, and
Status Presentation, among others.
Additional supporting tools available
are the XY-table (for less precise robots),
and the FPS Focus Position System. If
the robot carrying the cutting tool has a
collision, a tool calibration check can be
made within a few seconds. It will show
if (and exactly how much) the focus spot
and laser beam angle have changed from
the initial setting.
PERMANOVA WT03 Welding Tool System
This laser welding tool can be configured
for several laser processes and geometries.
It is well established in BiW roof welding
applications. The ST Seam Tracking
option is INTEGRATED into the tool.
An integrated camera system uses the
very same optic as is used for focusing the
high power laser beam. This allows closest
possible distance between measurement
and weld spot. The adjustments are
carried out by the optic itself, allowing
robot as well as pressure roller to follow a
steady programmed nominal path. Latest
FindPattern software allows tracking of
virtually any geometry.
