Quality, competence and know-how

Founded in 1947, Walter NEFF GmbH has developed from a small craftsman's business to a modern international company over the past 60 years. Today, Walter NEFF GmbH is a leading manufacturer of hydraulic presses and production facilities for the entire forming industry. The source of the company's continued success lies in its corporate philosophy and specialist knowhow. Short communication channels and flexible working procedures enable NEFF to respond spontaneously to customer requirements, provide comprehensive advice and suggest suitable solutions in a short space of time. Innovative power and impulse set the pace for the company's extremely successful development.

Innovative, versatile and efficient

The product range comprises an efficient combination of state-of-the-art forming presses and high-performance production lines right through to turn-key installations.

All presses are developed, produced and put into operation on an exclusively userspecific basis. NEFF produces systems for the metal and plastic processing industry as well as for massive forming. Over 6,000 presses - from small assembly presses to industrial presses for forming highstrength steels or alloys - are a testimony to the quality of NEFF products.

Quality-enhancing, time - and cost - saving

As your specialist for sheet-metal forming, NEFF offers, hydro-mechanical deep drawing, pulsating Blankholder drawing processes and also the latest hot forming technologies. Whichever you choose, you will benefit from significant quality improvements and cost savings.

Deep drawing with active pulsation

The pulsating blank holder system differs from conventional deep drawing in that the blank holder is subjected to a vibratory (pulsating) force. The metal flowing into the bottom die is subjected to intermittent pressure at a frequency of up to 30 Hz. This causes the material to flow much better under the blank holder without the disadvantages of an essential low holddown force (wrinkling). As an indirect consequence of this improved flow, a smaller punch force is needed for the forming operation. Both effects together open up new possibilities in terms of forming design and the use of less ductile materials.

Hot forming technology

Modern hydraulic presses and production systems combine the latest technologies with a long lifetime and high economic efficiency. By pinpointing current trends and technological developments at an early stage and developing them logically and consistently, NEFF has also gained a decisive know-how advantage in the field of hot forming production lines.

Supplying a variety of body parts at increasingly short notice and minimal cost is the number-one challenge facing the industry today. NEFF presses with the specially developed high-dynamic speed control system dynamisV, offer tailormade solutions to this problem. A higher forming speed significantly reduces the cycle time of the press stroke. By using a special hydraulic concept, the forming speed can be multiplied in critical working phases. The new system is particularly advantageous for forming operations involving large distances and a relatively small power requirement, and for short forming distances with a high power requirement.

Flexible NEFF press systems for hot forming can also be used optionally with a die cushion or die cushion preparation for conventional deep drawing, thus allowing the user to switch production without the need for additional investment.
