Since its foundation in 1986, Ingemat has rapidly become one of the main European automotive suppliers of automated production systems for body-in-white assembly. Headquarters are located in the North of Spain near Bilbao. Ingemat is certified according to the ISO 9001:2000, and works under Total Quality System (EFQM Method). Ingemat's current main product range is the complete supply of body-inwhite production systems, mainly for the automotive sector.

Ingemat offers flexible customised assembly lines for outer sub-assemblies and works jointly with its customers in the optimal product-process definition. As a specialist in hemming technologies, Ingemat offers hemming solutions which best adapt to the customer's requirements. One strategic objective of Ingemat is to become a reference in the automotive branch concerning technological solutions for production processes. Ingemat is pursuing the development of new innovative product lines, for instance flexible laser solutions; with the Gestamp Group Ingemat has developed a remote welding cell for a Seat vehicle sub-assembly and collaborates in the joint analysis of automated remote welding processes.

Strategic objectives

Ingemat has also integrated brazing welding fixtures for the assembly of different tailgates for Skoda. Further, the company takes advantage of its know-how in automated assembly processes and technologies to work in the final assembly shop. Ingemat provides solutions for automated manipulation of subassemblies and for glass bonding. It has recently supplied an installation for the automated positioning of wheels for all cars assembled at PSA Peugeot Citroën in Madrid and a flexible glass bonding cell for adhesive laying on to all glasses of the Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta Variant.
