Turnkey system solutions in welding technology - single source supply
Carl Cloos Schweisstechnik GmbH,
D-Haiger, can look back on a
tradition of almost 90 years but
is also one of the international market
leaders in the field of arc welding and
robot technology. With its emphasis on
the production of MIG/MAG- and TIG
welding machines and turnkey ROMAT
robot systems, Cloos provides a single
source supply of welding technology.
The wide range of welding machines
includes computer-controlled high-end
power sources with integrated weld data
monitoring and power programming as
well as inverter and compact step switch
machines.
The 6-axes ROMAT industrial robots,
primarily designed for MIG/MAG
and TIG welding, can also be used for
plasma cutting, flame cutting and robot
handling. All the customers benefit
from a single source supply, i.e. all the
components of a robot system - from
robot control and workpiece positioners
and sensor systems to power sources and
welding torches - are manufactured by
one company.
The great advantage of Cloos is that the
system solutions are specially designed to
each customer's requirements, whether
compact robot welding cells or complex
production lines.
New welding processes such as
TANDEM high capacity welding, plasma
(powder) and laser (hybrid) welding
as well as the recently developed Cold
Process (CP) make automated and
robot-supported welding even more
efficient.
Approximately 500 people are
employed at the Cloos parent company
in Haiger. The company also has a
flexible and highly efficient sales and
service network with more than 50
branches world-wide. In addition the
company has subsidiaries in Great
Britain, USA, Belgium, Czech Republic,
the Netherlands, Switzerland and
China. Companies such as BMW,
DaimlerChrysler, VW, Audi, Rover,
Mitsubishi Ned Car, Bosal, Monroe and
Mannesmann Sachs have been part of
the customer base for many years.
