"Zero-Error" production by high precision robot guidance and inline measurement systems
Inos Automationssoftware GmbH develops and markets innovative,
sensitive automation and quality assurance solutions world-wide primarily
for the automotive industry. The core competencies are lying the two correlated
fields of inos SIR (Sensitive Industrial Robot) and inos iMS (inline Measurement
System).
inos SIR HPFit (High Precision Fitting)
is used, for example, to insert parts in the body-in-white plant area or in the
assembly lines for example doors, roofs, wings and car glasses, both with the
target of zero-error production. The inos sensor technology is a comprehensive
product family from simple camera-based 2D- sensors to 3D-stereo and 3D-multiline triangulation, and the sensors are independent of:
• Colours (by self-adjusting laser intensity)
• Temperature
• Ambient light
• Radii
• Size of objects
• Production line speed.
Inline quality control
The inos iMS can reliably conduct both relative and absolute measurements,
inline and in motion. With renowned automobile manufacturers located in
southern Germany, it has been approved as the only reliable inline technology in
this field.
The much-praised, newest version is already used in daily quality control
processes. The inter-disciplinary approach provides a unique problem
solution because of cost-effective cooperation between the individual
system components. For the required common coordinate system, a calibration
object made of temperature-resistant material and equipped with calibration
cubes is used. iMS can be used both as an inline stationary system as well as a robotcontrolled version.
Examples for use include several inline gap and flush measurement systems
at different production sites both in the body-in-white shop and assembly (even
combined correlating data among them for yield management).
inos SIR applications consist most importantly of its user-friendly, easy
handling and installation as well as easy and fast maintenance. A post insert
control checking measurement is a basic function of all inos systems.
Modern exception handling concepts and a powerful production data database,
including worker friendly as well as manager level overviews support the costeffective operation of the system during the live cycle.
The inos iMS and SIR applications, SIR- HPFit, SIR-HPPos soft-touch
form & pierce (positioning accuracy < 0.1mm) have proved themselves
very successfully and have set standards in permanent use, easy handling and
maintainability for our OEM customers such as ASM, Audi, BMW, Bentley, Claas,
Comau, CTS/Magna, DaimlerChrysler, Edscha, FFT, Ford, Freudenberg,
